3 students to compete in OAT's Got Talent!

We are very proud to once again be hosting the regional finals of “Ormiston’s Got Talent” this month! We had 18 student entries – the highest number yet!

All staff had the opportunity to vote, and the following 3 students were shortlisted to the Top 3 to be sent to OAT for consideration. In third place, Darius, who has been a regular at Ormiston’s Got Talent, including making the grand finals twice. Will the third time be a charm?

Darius always impresses with his skilled playing, stage presence and vocal skills, and is a born entertainer, always at his most comfortable in front of a cheering audience!

In second place, we have an up and coming talented song writer who shows our CORE Values through every performance she does. Isabel has worked incredibly hard to improve on her confidence over the last few years and that hard work really has paid off. This time she is showcasing not only exceptional vocal talent but playing the guitar as well as her own original song. Her songs are emotional, with intelligent and heartfelt lyrics, that can captivate the listeners and send them on an emotional journey.

Finally, first place in the staff vote went to Lennon – a quiet and unassuming student whose alter-ego is a demon on the drums! His solo fills are truly jaw dropping to behold! A late addition to the competition but a very worthy winner of the staff vote! Shortlisted students are then sent to Ormiston to be further shortlisted to regional finals. Usually, OAT only chose one or two from each school, but in our case, we are extremely happy to report that all three students have been selected to perform in the regional finals on Feb 25th, with the potential to win further prizes and performance opportunities. Congratulations to all three students. Enjoy a brief clip from each of their audition videos!
