Josh agreed to come into school to talk with students about his experiences since he left school. Back when Josh was a student at SWB, he wasn’t quite sure where he’d be going next. He hadn’t really settled on anything and felt that he needed something to aim for. He achieved in two of his A levels, but he felt that University wasn’t the route for him and wanted something more practical.
He decided to explore apprenticeship options, and as he’d always considered becoming a paramedic, he applied for a programme with the West Midlands Ambulance Service. He is now close to achieving his Level 6 qualification in Paramedic Science through working towards it on the job. He is earning a good salary and feels happy with the choices he has made.
