We train our trainees to teach where it matters most and make a real difference.
Applications to train to teach with Ormiston Teacher Training are open.
Great teachers can change lives, and we’re on a mission to nurture the next generation of teachers and give them the skills, confidence and support they need to make a real difference to pupils.
Our School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programme means you’ll be in the classroom from day one, learning alongside experienced teachers while becoming part of a real school community.
Why train with us?
You’ll get:
- Real classroom experience from the start, with hands-on learning in a school.
- A dedicated mentor to support your development throughout your training.
- Weekly expert training from experienced teachers and teacher educators.
- Evidence-informed teaching based on the latest research and best practice.
- A supportive network of fellow trainees and education professionals.
As an Associate College of the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT), our programme combines national research and expertise with the experience of training in your local school and community.
And when you complete your training, you’ll have the qualifications and experience to take the next step in your teaching career.
Our courses lead to QTS, a PGCE and 60 master's-level credits.
