At Ormiston SWB Academy, we believe in the power of education to transform lives. We also understand the importance of giving back to our community and making a positive impact on the world. That’s why we’re proud to introduce our School Charity Program!
The mission of the Ormiston SWB Academy Charity Program is to instil a sense of empathy, compassion, and social responsibility in our students. Through this program, we aim to empower them to become active, engaged citizens who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others.
Our chosen charity in 2023/24 is Cancer Research.
With numerous staff and pupils from the SWB community affected and just last summer seeing a child from our school lose his battle with cancer, we have decided to raise funds to help this great charity in finding ways to beat cancer once and for all.
1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, which is why we are raising money for Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.

Our Academy will be undertaking numerous fundraising activities such as non uniform days, the first SWB ‘Race for Life’ and Mr Mason will be completing the London Marathon in April 2024. Learn more and donate here.
Fundraising Initiatives
Students organise a variety of fundraising events throughout the year to support causes that are close to their hearts. These initiatives range from charity walks and bake sales to online campaigns and community drives, with every penny raised going directly towards the chosen charity or cause.
Community Outreach
Our students actively engage with local community to understand their unique needs and challenges. Through volunteer work and community service projects, we aim to foster a sense of connection and solidarity between our Academy and the wider community.
