RE at Ormiston SWB Academy

At Ormiston SWB Academy, our Religious Education (RE) curriculum is designed to promote cultural awareness, empathy, and tolerance, enabling students to become thoughtful, informed, and respectful global citizens.

Rooted in our academy’s commitment to great teaching, strong literacy, excellent outcomes, and positive behaviour, RE plays a vital role in developing students’ ability to engage with complex ideas and diverse perspectives. Through our curriculum, we ensure that all students become religiously literate — equipped with the knowledge and skills to hold balanced, well-informed conversations about theology, philosophy, and human and social sciences.

We are proud to offer a full and rich curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, ensuring every student has access to high-quality RE education. However, if you wish to discuss the right to withdraw from RE, please contact the academy.
