Bilston In the Neighbourhood Event

On Friday, Mr. Tipton, Mr. Kibby, and Mr. Stevens attended the Bilston – In the Neighbourhood event, which featured performances from various schools across Bilston and Wolverhampton, including Moseley Park and St. Matthias. The day also included a fun fair and was hosted by local DJ Niel Jackson.

The event opened with a stunning performance by Isabel Whitehouse, who captivated the audience with her emotional cover of How I’m Feeling Now by Lewis Capaldi. Her heartfelt rendition moved some audience members to tears. You can hear a professional recording of her song on our SoundCloud page.

Following Isabel, Lizanne delivered a powerful version of Brave by Sara Bareilles. Her commanding vocals and impressive range left a lasting impression on the crowd.

Adding a touch of excitement, the Jollies Animatronic Dinosaurs took to the stage. Fortunately, the dinosaurs weren’t too hungry, and the students made it out unscathed!

Next up was Prince Sahota, whose incredible Dhol drumming lit up the atmosphere and brought vibrant energy to the event.

The final performance came from Darius Stirbat, who wowed the audience with his stage presence and soulful cover of Love Me or Leave Me.

As the results were announced, the students waited nervously. All participants were congratulated and awarded a £5 Bilston Market gift voucher. We’re proud to share that Darius Stirbat secured 3rd place, Lizanne Samath earned 2nd place, and the top spot was claimed by a student from Moseley Park.

The Performing Arts team couldn’t be prouder of how the students represented themselves in Bilston. We’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to take part in such a fantastic event.
