Pride and joy are abundant today at Ormiston SWB Academy, as students collect their post-16 results.
Sixth-Form students at the academy, which is part of Ormiston Academies Trust, are celebrating receiving their results following a year of hard work and determination in preparing for their exams.
The students’ successes have enabled many to secure places at their chosen universities, on esteemed apprenticeships and into highly skilled employment. The standout individual achievements include:
Students in fine art performed well across the board, with 50% of the cohort achieving an A* or A. Similarly, results in media and health and social care were strong, with over half of health and social care students achieving a Distinction or Distinction* as part of their grade, and two-thirds of the media cohort achieving a Distinction or Distinction*.
Dan Mason, Principal at Ormiston SWB Academy, said:
“We are proud to see our fantastic students receiving their results today, all of which are hugely deserved. They have such bright futures ahead of them and it has been a pleasure to see them grow and flourish during their time at our academy.
“I would also like to thank our committed staff and wider community for all their support, which is a key part of our success as an academy.”
