At the end of June, a select group of students from Year 7 were whisked away on a magical rewards trip to The Making of Harry Potter at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London. Chosen for their exceptional effort, progress, and behaviour in their reading lessons, these young witches and wizards embarked on what can only be described as an enchanting adventure straight out of the pages of J.K. Rowling’s world.
From the moment we stepped off the (non-enchanted) minibus, the excitement was as powerful as a cheering charm. We were greeted by the towering doors of the Great Hall, which opened to reveal a truly spellbinding sight—floating candles, house tables, and costumes worn by the cast. It was like walking through a portal into Hogwarts itself.
Throughout the tour, students explored iconic sets including Platform 9 ¾, Diagon Alley, the Forbidden Forest, and the Gryffindor Common Room. From riding broomsticks via green screen to putting their names into the Triwizard Cup, the experience was nothing short of magical. The level of detail in every prop and set piece left even the most sceptical Muggle utterly bewitched.
