Students at Ormiston SWB Academy are celebrating collecting their A Level results today, with top university places being secured.

The number of entries achieving A*-E has improved on last year’s figure by 5%, and there has been numerous individual success stories across the cohort, including:

  • Alleah Boffey – B Grade in Psychology, B Grade in Sociology & C Grade in Law – Aberystwyth University, Psychology
  • TJ James – B Grade in English Lit, C Grade in Art and Distinction Star Grade in Media – Nottingham Trent University, Fine Art
  • Shannon Jordan – Triple Distinction in Health and Social Care – Birmingham City University, Child Nursing
  • Alex Hollingworth – A Grade in Fine Art, Distinction Grade in Performing Arts, Distinction Grade in Media Studies – Chester University, Fine Art and Performing Arts
  • Alex Banks – A Grade in Maths, B Grade in Further Maths, C Grade in Chemistry, C Grade in Biology
  • Ramanpreet Dulai – Double Distinction Grade in Applied Science, Distinction Grade in Health & Social Care

Principal Rod Hughes said:

“We are excited to celebrate some wonderful results with our students today – I am so proud of what they have achieved. We are thrilled for our young people, their families and their teachers who have helped to contribute to this success. We have our highest ever percentage of students progressing to university which is excellent news. We wish them all well on the next stage of the journey, whatever that might be.”
