Speaking about mental health is never easy, but who said we can’t do it in a more engaging way?
As we continue our recognition of Mental Health Week 2025 and bringing our school community together, and with a focus on pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone, students at the academy nominated staff to take part in the 2025 ‘Speak Your Mind’ ice bucket challenge.
Skilfully compered by our Sixth Form Mental Health Lead, Preston, the event was designed to encourage our academy community to openly address Mental Health, and signpost to the support that is available.
Rather than nominating students and staff to experience the coldness of water, we nominated all students and staff to experience the warmth of support and encouraged all who needed to (when and if needed) to speak their mind and ask for support.
