The #IWILL volunteers are a great group of students from Year 7 right up to Sixth Form, who are volunteering on a number of projects. For the last two days they have been working on creating a new assault course at Baggeridge Park along with Challenge Academy.  When they’ve finished they’ll have provided an activity for the whole community to use, for years to come.

They have worked tirelessly, and even uncovered a historical artifact!   If you watch the video embedded above, you will witness their excitement as they try to figure out what the mysterious object is, as they dig deep and learn the meaning of resilience, one of our CORE values.

It wasn’t all work, though, as the students enjoyed a guided walk around Baggeridge, climbed a steep (and muddy!) man made hill, and had a go on the high rope equipment !  One of the students tackled her fear of heights and took part in all of the activities, again showcasing great resilience.  All the students had a fantastic day and are looking forward to coming back in the future.
