Ormiston SWB Academy celebrates the incredible achievements of their students
Students at Ormiston SWB which is in Bilston, Wolverhampton are celebrating today after receiving their GCSE results, as they get ready to take their next steps in their education journey.
Staff and students have come together to mark the achievements of all the students, who have worked exceptionally hard over the past couple of years to secure these grades.
Alongside the continued success of the academy, which is sponsored by Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT), some particular individual highlights include:
Jack Bailey who celebrates 3 grade 9’s in Biology, Maths and Physics and will be studying Biology, Chemistry, Maths and LIBF at A – level.
Luke Foster who celebrates a grade 6 in Philosophy, Religion and Ethics, grade 5’s in English Literature, English Language and Science and Level 2 Merits in Engineering and Sport. Luke pushed through extremely challenging circumstances in the run up to the exams and has left us all feeling very proud of his achievements. Luke continues onto Ormiston SWB6 to study Sport, Business and Engineering as well as Core Maths.
Maryanne Johnston whose hard work and commitment has led to fantastic results including a 6 in English Language, a 5 in Maths and Philosophy, Religion and Ethics as well as grade 4s in English Literature and Science and a Level 2 Merit in Health and Social Care. We wish Maryanne all the best as she leaves SWB to continue her studies elsewhere.
Xue Chen who celebrates a grade 9 in Art and Design and 6 X grade 8s in Biology, Chemistry, English Literature, Geography, Maths and a Distinction Star in BTEC Sport. Xue will be continuing at Ormiston SWB 6th to study Art and Design, Geography, Psychology and EPQ at A – level.
As an academy we are incredibly proud of the achievements of the Class of 2022. This year we celebrate our best ever outcomes in English, Maths and Science, as well as excellent outcomes for students who studied Art, Child Development, Leisure and Tourism, Performing Arts and BTEC Sport.
