Director of English

We are now seeking to appoint an outstanding Director of English to lead our talented and enthusiastic team. You need to be determined to drive up standards, have a positive approach to your work life and be committed to making a difference. Vice Principal (Behaviour and Attitudes)

Are you a dynamic, inspirational and ambitious senior leader with the drive, determination and people skills to make a difference?
Having recently joined the Ormiston Academies Trust and now under new leadership from September 2018, we have an exciting opportunity for a Vice Principal to join our Academy on our journey.
We need to appoint an exceptional leader. You will play a key role in the leadership of personal welfare, character development, behaviour and well-being of our students.
You will need to be determined to drive up standards, have a positive approach and be committed to making a difference. In return you will get to work in an innovative and supportive Academy, which is massively oversubscribed and the first choice for parents across the area.
This is a high-profile senior leadership role, a unique opportunity for an ambitious, forward-thinking leader to join our successful academy. We are a successful 11-18 secondary academy (part of the Ormiston Academy Trust) with £25 million building with facilities which are second-to-none.
The person we are looking for should:

• Be an inspirational, creative and outstanding teacher who is able to motivate young people.

Exam Invigilator

You will need to be available from 8.00 for morning sessions and from 13.00 (often until 16.00) for afternoon sessions.

This job would, therefore, not be suitable for people who have other commitments at these times.

Additional skills required

  • Experience of working with teenagers/young adults (Desirable but not essential)
  • An understanding of how to manage behaviour in a positive way
  • The ability to be flexible
  • Able to follow instructions
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure
  • Common sense and initiative
  • Accuracy and attention to detail

Successful candidates must abide by our Safeguarding Children policy and undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Teacher of RE/ Humanities (Maternity Cover)

SWB Academy is a vibrant, successful 11-19 Academy. Due to our popularity with parents, making us the first choice secondary school across the area, we are seeking to expand our team of staff as a result of increasing student numbers.  We have world class facilities, highly professional staff and students who are keen to learn.  The post-holder will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic team who deliver outstanding provision through engaging lessons and exciting enrichment opportunities.

 

We are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher to work as part of our Humanities team delivering outstanding provision to our students. This is a maternity cover post initially from May 2019 till December 2019 in the first instance, subject to review. It would require the successful candidate to teach both Religious Education and Philosophy up to GCSE level. You need to be determined to drive up standards, have a positive approach and be committed to making a difference.  In return you will get to work in an innovative and supportive Academy.
