Ormiston's Got Talent!
On Wednesday 25Th February, SWB once again hosted the Ormiston’s Got Talent regional finals.
The huge event bought together primary and secondary pupils from as far and wide as the Isle of Wight and Peterborough.
SWB were very fortunate to have three of our own representing us, with Darius-Andrei Stirbat returning once again after being a regular in this process, and first time entrants Isabel Whitehouse and Lennon Goodwin. In addition to this, we also had Year 10 pupil Andrew Pecincu-Holden compering the whole event in true Michael Buffer style!
Supported by our fantastic staff Mr Kibby, Mr Stevens and Mr Tipton, the event was a fantastic showcase of musicians, dancers and acrobats to name a few.
All involved were also treated to a performance from our guest judge ‘The punching Poet’ Matt Windle. The Mayor of Wolverhampton was also in attendance for this event.
After the performances had finished, the judges had the almost impossible process of deciding who should be crowned the winner.
After much deliberation, Millie from Ormiston Bushfield was crowned the winner after her amazing musical theatre performance.
Special thanks needs to go our backstage pupil crew of Annabel, Keegan and Reo, without whom, the event would not have occurred. Thanks also go to our student photographers Sophie and Ruth, who supported with taking photos of the show along with Mr Stevens and Mr Wall.
Many thanks to Ormiston Academies Trust for their organisation and for Matt Windle for your inspiring performance and words of advice to our performers, this was very much appreciated.
